The editorial policies of this website and newsletter are –
To Be Clear. One picture is worth a thousand words. Wherever possible a readily understandable graph or image will be used to communicate the point. Technical language will be avoided to the extent reasonably possible This web site and newsletter are intended for nonscientists.
To Be Accurate. For nonscientists the best comprehensive summary of climate science is the Sixth Assessment Report of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (2021-2022). If the IPCC AR6 expresses an opinion on the topic under discussion, its opinion will be stated with a precise citation.
To Be Frank. Scientists agree about many things, but there are also many disagreements and uncertainties, sometimes on important points. Areas of agreement will be identified. Disagreements and uncertainties will be acknowledged and discussed, particularly where scientists disagree with the IPCC AR6.
